Give Yourself Peace of Mind:

Get Professional Caregivers for Your Loved Ones

Caring for an ageing loved one is both rewarding and challenging, especially when balancing work and family responsibilities. The physical and emotional demands can lead to burnout, affecting your well-being and the quality of care you provide.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or struggling to manage caregiving tasks, professional support can make all the difference. Whether it’s short-term post-hospitalisation care or a tailored long-term senior care plan, we’re here to help lighten the load.

5 Key Signs Your Loved One
Needs At-Home Care Support

Difficulty with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

If your loved one finds tasks like bathing, eating, dressing, toileting, or moving around challenging, professional care can make a big difference.

Frequent Falls or Injuries

An increased risk of falls or injuries at home may suggest that their living environment is no longer safe.

Worsening Health Conditions or Post-Hospitalisation Recovery

Conditions such as dementia symptoms, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, arthritis, stroke recovery, or post-surgery care often require specialised support. A personalised care plan can help meet these needs effectively.

Need for Specialised Medical Procedures and Therapies

For procedures like nasogastric tube feeding, catheter care, wound dressing, or physiotherapy, a professional caregiver is essential to ensure proper care.

Signs of Social Withdrawal or Depression

Isolation can affect their emotional well-being. Short-term senior care or home assistance can provide companionship and improve their quality of life.

The live-in caregiver is required to rest for a minimum of 7 hours at night, typically uninterrupted. For more complex care needs, kindly speak to our care advisor team or your assigned Care Manager. A personalised care plan will be created based on your specific requirements.

Yes, the family is responsible for providing meals for the caregiver, either by preparing food in advance or providing basic ingredients for the caregiver to prepare their own meals.

The caregiver’s main focus is to maintain a clean and safe environment for the elderly person. Their tasks include:

  • Changing bed linens to ensure a clean bed for the elderly person
  • Sweeping and mopping the room where the elderly person spends the majority of their time
  • Cooking for the elderly person, and cleaning up the kitchen/dining area afterwards
  • Doing the elderly person’s laundry
  • Cleaning up after any accidents involving the elderly person

A maid’s duties typically focus on domestic chores such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking. However, maids are generally not trained to provide specialised care for elderly individuals or those recovering from illness.

A caregiver, on the other hand, is professionally trained to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as eating, bathing, toileting, grooming, and moving safely. They also provide companionship, administer medication, and encourage light exercise, physiotherapy, and mental stimulation to keep your loved one active and engaged. A caregiver’s role is centred around improving your loved one’s quality of life by supporting their daily needs and promoting overall well-being.
