About K-Youth Development Programme (K-Youth)
Launched in 2023, the Khazanah Youth Development Programme (K-Youth) is a youth employability initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of talent. Its objective is to equip young individuals with commercially relevant skills and experiences that boost their employability.
Khazanah is steadfast in its commitment to support youth employability, embracing and driving forward the ambitious vision of Malaysia MADANI.

2. What does a professional caregiver do?
Professional caregivers help seniors with daily activities and improve their quality of life through:
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (e.g., feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Mobility support and light exercise or physio
- Companionship and mental stimulation

3. I have zero experience. Can I still join?
Absolutely! No prior experience needed if you meet the basic requirements.
4. I’m from outside of KL/Selangor/Penang/Sarawak. Will I receive any support (housing, transportation, allowance) if I am selected?
Yes, here’s what’s covered:
- Month 1: Free accommodation and meals during training
- Months 2–12: Employee dormitory provided during your internship and job placement (or we’ll help you find suitable housing if unavailable)
- Salary: Full-time pay with EPF, SOCSO and EIS with no allowance provided
5. Can non-Malaysians or PR holders apply?
No. This programme is for Malaysian citizens only.
6. I turn 31 this year but I’m still 30 now. Can I apply?
No. Eligibility is based on birth year, not birth date.
7. What is the selection process like?
- Submit your application here
- If you are shortlisted, you will attend an interview (online or in-person)
- Complete a health screening by Care Concierge Academy
- Receive an offer from us within 3 working days if you’ve passed the interview and health screening
Note: Health screening includes tests for drug use, HIV, Hepatitis B/C and syphilis to ensure fitness for elderly care work.
8. Is it really 100% free?
Yes! Fully sponsored by Khazanah’s K-Youth Development Programme. Zero hidden fees.
9. Will I get a certificate?
Yes, you’ll earn a Mastery in Caregiving Certificate, jointly awarded by Care Concierge Academy and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman Centre for Corporate and Community Development (UTAR CCCD).
10. Will I receive a salary/allowance during the programme?
Yes, you’ll earn a full-time salary with statutory contributions. No allowance will be provided.
11. I’ve submitted my application. What’s next?
We’ll acknowledge your application within 3 working days. If shortlisted, you’ll be invited for an interview and health screening.
12. When will I know if I’m accepted?
You’ll hear from us within 3 working days after your interview and health screening regarding whether you’ve been accepted for the programme or not.
About the programme
1. What is the structure of the programme?
- Month 1: Intensive training (theory + hands-on practice)
- Months 2–4: Paid internship/OJT (On-the-Job Training)
- Months 5–12: Full-time job placement (upon successful completion of internship and evaluation)
2. When can I start? Can I choose my intake?
Monthly intakes run from May–September 2026. Yes, you can select your preferred intake during application.
3. Can I change to a different intake after applying?
Yes, you can switch intakes before the programme starts. Your preferred intake will be confirmed during your interview.
4. Where does the programme take place?
- Month 1 training: Kuala Lumpur
- Internship & job placement: Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang (limited Sarawak placements subject to partner availability)
5. What should I bring or prepare?
Just bring your eagerness to learn! For training, you’ll need:
- Covered shoes (trainers/sports shoes)
- Long trousers
- Provided polo shirt
6. Who are the instructors?
Our two lead instructors each have over 40 years of nursing experience spanning the UK, Saudi Arabia, USA and Malaysia. They’re passionate about training the next generation of Malaysian caregivers and bringing both expertise and heart to every class.
7. What if I realise this isn’t for me halfway through, or I need to leave the programme early?
We want you to succeed! If you’re facing challenges, speak to your instructor or programme coordinator first – we’re here to support you. If you must leave for unavoidable reasons, there are no penalties.
About the job placement
1. Where are job placements? Can I choose?
Placements are in KL, Selangor, and Penang (Sarawak subject to partner availability). You can request your preferred location, but if it’s full, you’ll need to choose another option or accept our team’s recommendation.
2. Is the job guaranteed?
Job placement is subject to your completing:
- 1-month training
- 3-month internship
- Final evaluation
Pass all three and you’re guaranteed an 8-month placement to complete your 12-month commitment.
